9 (Holloway) and with the supervisee development levels within the group [8]. As objectives we aim to: - emphasize the importance of the supervisor’s getting ready before starting the actual supervision with a supervision group; - emphasize the importance of supervision contracts concluded with each member of the future supervision group; - identify competencies from the transversal field and those specific to the psychotherapist’s training, from the competences standard for the therapist and the supervisor [10]. 2. PREPARING A SUPERVISION GROUP - THE SUPERVISOR’S PERSPECTIVE The preparation of a supervision group in psychotherapy is an activity realized by the supervisor some time before the supervision session. The supervisor thinks of questions such as: - Do supervised therapists come from the same therapeutic school, with training similar to his/hers? - Do supervised therapists come from other therapeutic schools but with the same therapeutic orientation? - What would be the accurate number of therapists to build a supervision group? - What is the level of personal development of therapists who will form the supervision group? - What is the supervisees’ sexual orientation? - What is the supervisees’ cultural orientation? - What language is used for the supervision process? - Is the supervisor ready to adapt to the supervisees’ learning styles? - Do supervisees exercise their profession / do they have a place to work? - Are the necessary documents ready to be presented and signed by the supervisor and each supervised therapist in the group? - Does the supervisor have his/her own supervisor to oversee the supervision process? - What else should the supervisor know about the problems, the pitfalls, the issues that appear in group supervision? - Does the supervisor have supervisory models that can guide him / her during group supervision? - Does the supervisor use a model of supervision to which he has adhered and does s/he have the flexibility to accept other models? - Has the supervisor graduated a training program in supervision or is he / she tempted to supervise as s/he once received supervision?
