41 In supervision, the power triangle consists of the client, the supervisee and the supervisor and there is the risk of playing some dramatic roles, that of the persecutor - victim - saviour, the client is the victim, but this role can be taken by the supervisee. Power triangles are discussed in supervision, and reflection on the therapeutic relationship and on the supervision relationship avoids triangulation. - Reflection on the supervisee’s transfer, and in supervision this can be: o Negative: the supervisee sees the supervision as a punitive and persecutor parent (all self-critical evaluations belonging to the supervisee are projected on the supervisor); o Positive: frequently at the beginning of supervision, when the supervisee needs guidance and a role model. Allphin [8] mentioned an idealisation of the supervisor. - The supervisor’s reflection on countertransfer: The supervisor’s countertransfer is according to Ladany et al. “A complex and inevitable process that involves unconscious and exaggerated reactions arising from an interaction within the supervision and which is obviously related to the personal problems or to the supervisor’s internal conflicts” [9]. Walker and Gray identified the following sources for countertransfer [9]: - A huge amount of work in which the supervisor is involved; - The supervisor’s disappointment that the supervisee sometimes treats supervision superficially; - The supervisor’s over-identification with the role of caring parent for the therapist found in supervision and at the beginning of his/her career; - The supervisor’s desire for the supervisee to be better. - Reflecting on learning. Supervisees are adults who are actively learning and want to have control over learning, to have time to study the material needed to be learned and to control the learning situation. 5. CONCLUSIONS AND PROPOSALS Clinical supervision is a long-term process and a commitment between the supervisor and the supervisor. The duration of clinical supervision is one year for clinical psychology and at least one year for psychotherapy, with the possibility of extending these periods through a new contract. In the case of supervision in psychotherapy, the supervisor is responsible for finding a balance between the logic of supervision and his/her personality style, the two characteristics referring to the style of the supervisor. Supervision is a period of learning, in order to become a professional therapist, and to learn effective management of a psychological office or of any other form of profession. During the supervision, the supervisee’s or the clinical
